“I came to the conclusion long ago…that all religions were true and also that all had some error in them, and whilst I hold by my own, I should hold others as dear as Hinduism. So, we can only pray, if we are Hindus, not that a Christian should become a Hindu…But our innermost prayer should be a Hindu should be a better Hindu, a Muslim a better Muslim, a Christian a better Christian.”

-Gandhi

Within these words that Gandhi spoke, lies a bitter truth. The truth is that we have come to think that God has favorites. He had only one son and if you do not choose this one son as your savior, then you are damned to spend eternity in hell.

Hmmmm…now for logic.

If God can produce only one son, then I personally know people who has more power than God, for they have many sons.

But, he had an immaculate birth!

Okay, there were lots of stories surrounding immaculate births. I know for a fact that if you have an emotional attachment to a belief that you would do anything to protect that belief. Using this belief as a foundation to expand your knowledge is paradoxical to say the least. This belief will influence the knowledge that is gained because it has an emotional charge.

If the knowledge resonates with you, then it is so, if not, then it is not so…

“Man is a religious animal. He is the only Religious Animal. He is the only animal that has the True Religion–several of them. He is the only animal that loves his neighbor as himself and cuts his throat if his theology isn’t straight.”

-Mark Twain

May we resonate with unconditional love and gain our knowledge from that…
